Earlier, Angela Carini asked to withdraw after only 46 seconds to play with Imane Khelif, Algerian boxer. Imane Khelif was concluded by IBA as a male. But in international boxing tournaments organized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the iMane Khelif was still attended because IOC had deposed IBA.

Besides the Imane Khelif, another boxer who was accused of being participating in the Olympics. It was Lin Yu Ting, representative of Taipei China. Lin Yu Ting even won the ASIAD 19 in late 2023 before attending the Paris Olympic Games.

Despite objections from many individuals and organizations about letting two female fighters have been accused of male competition, IOC still holds this decision. On August 3, IMane Khelif will fight the 57kg quarterfinals for women. Lin Yu Ting also played the next day, and they were considered to be the championship candidate.

IBA decisions around the Paris Olympic Games 2024 continue to show the conflict between them and IOC. At the present time, IOC has founded a new boxing organization to replace IBA as World Boxing. They have informed the member countries, with notes attending the World Boxing is the only option for this sport to appear in the Olympic Games 2028.
