Despite protecting the successful Middleweight championship at UFC 263, Israel Adesanya has considered rematch with former Robert Whittaker in the near future.
After 5 absolute overwhelming halfs against Marvin Vettori, Adesanya did not seem absolutely no serious injury and could play early. Immediately after the match, Adesanya told commentator Joe Rogan: “I want to rematch with Whittaker. I don't know how the Codid's pandemic situation is going back but I want to return to Australia. I want to play at home at the moment. I will decide when I want to compete, not anyone else. You know why? Because I am the king of UFC.”
If the rematch against Whittaker was approved, this is the third match of this Nigerian Australian boxer. “I don't want to sit still. The match against Whittaker will be the third time I have been in the last 9 months. I will not be as passive as other champions. While others always say I am always ready to play but never appear. I don't say it but just act.” Israel Adesanya stated in the press conference after the match.
Although Adesanya really wants to play in Australia, it is facing many difficulties due to the pandemic problem in this country has not been completely controlled. UFC President Dana White himself is quite concerned about organizing events in Australia at this time.
