Israel Adesanya shows her thin body before the competition

Adesanya will have the first Light Heavyweight match at the UFC 259 event this weekend. His opponent is the defending champion Jan Blachowicz. His goal is to become the fifth UFC boxer winning the championship in two weight classes.

Recently, “Wibu knows martial arts” shared his muscular physical body compared to the time of playing in the Middleweight weight class. Even so, it can be seen that compared to other Light Heavyweight boxers, Adesanya is still relatively “thin”.

However, this is completely his goal.

Before the Light Heavyweight Belt with Blachowicz, “The Last StyleBender” made it clear that he had no intention of increasing his muscles, instead choosing to fight with the weight equivalent to the Middleweight.

“I will keep my energy level throughout the week,” Adesanya shared with ESPN when asked about weight management.

“I will not be crazy about gaining weight, will not call Uber Eats, cakes or anything. I will only keep the energy as when playing in Middleweight.”

“So don't be surprised if my weight in the upcoming match falls into 193 pounds (87.5kg). I can still cut down to the Middleweight 185 pound (83.9kg) if necessary.”

To be able to understand the ideas of Israel Adesanya, let's take a look at the UFC's scale. To play in Light Heavyweight UFC, boxers must weigh from 186 to 205 pounds, which is from 84 to 93 kg. Typically, most boxers will find ways to increase muscle up to 93 kg to take advantage of muscle, strength and body.

Therefore, it was surprising that Adesanya did not choose to bring the weight to the ceiling like other boxers.
