After a series of consecutive victories against Jorge Masvidal, Colby Covington, Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns, the name of Kamaru Usman was angry. Not only that, thanks to overcoming the record number of GSP's consecutive victories, many people are seeing him as one of the greatest names in the current generation.
Because of that, the Nigerian -American boxer believes that if UFC arranged for him the match with the former Khabib Nurmagomedov champion, the competition of both would be the biggest event in UFC history.
More specifically, in an interview with TMZ, the reporter of this media mentioned Khabib once said he would return if an opponent made him impressed. When asked if Usman believed he was a boxer that made Khabib be able to be interested, Usman shared:
“That (the match Kamaru Usman vs Khabib Nurmagomedov) will be the biggest event in UFC history.”
“But I don't believe that may happen. I think the Khabib vs St-Pierce match is likely to take place before Usman vs Nurmagomedov.
The 'Nigerian nightmare' is expected to return to the cage later this year to protect his title against Colby Covington, whom he defeated TKO in the fifth half at the UFC 245 event in 2019.
