Based on the requirements of the Asian Boxing Federation (ASBC) on personnel, VBF has proposed the list of Vietnamese referees working at the 31 SEA Games including 2 referees, 11 1 -star referees issued by the World Boxing Federation (AIBA) and 4 NTO. This list is being sent to the General Department of Sports.
“ASBC requires the boxing arbitration at the 31st SEA Games to be a 1 -star or more referee. NTOs are experienced from the National League or more. Based on that requirement, we will choose 2 boxing referees of Vietnam on duty at the 31st SEA Games, including 1 male and 1 female,” the representative of Vietnam Boxing Federation (VBF) shared.

Earlier in the afternoon of April 20, ASBC announced the time and venue for Boxing at the 31st SEA Games.
All 11 countries attending the 31 SEA Games have athletes to compete in Boxing. Besides the two Thai and Philippines power, the host country of Vietnam is expected to be well shown in the boxing content this time.
Boxing at SEA Games 31 has 6 women's weight classes and 7 male weight classes. Each participating country is only sent up to 5 female fighters and 6 male boxers to attend the tournament, according to ASBC information provided. Vietnam currently has a defending championship SEA Games, Nguyen Thi Tam (51kg female).
