In one appearance on ESPN MMA with Brett Okamoto recently, Justin Gaethje shared his feelings about the old opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The defending champion of the Lightweight Khabib has a lot of glory, from the champion with an unbeaten record 29-0, who has been together with bears from an early age, the number one on the board of the best boxers of the Pound-For-Pound UFC. But in particular, how good Khabib Nurmagomedov is?
Justin Gaethje had the answer to that question.
“I think Khabib is very, very strong,” Gaethje commented. “You know, his ability to bear the blow is very respectable. I” gave “Khabib many painful blows but Khabib's face did not change. I knew Khabib was very painful, but he still maintained the same expression.”
“Khabib also possesses the ability to launch Jab very effectively. You know, everyone is very afraid of Khabib's falls. As long as he bowed, you had to back down to dodge, and so Khabib Tung Jab. I was able to ignore those threats of Takedown, but who knew it made me lose faster or not.”
“I am not sure any boxer under the Middleweight in UFC, or on this planet, capable of defeating him,” Gaethje said.
Despite the efforts of UFC President Dana White, Khabib Nurmagomedov seems to be resolute with his plans to hang his gloves. The battle of the belt between England and Justin Gaethje in October last year would probably be Khabib's last match at UFC, if Dana White did not have any new “tricks” to keep the Dagestan champion's home.
