Conor McGregor looked back at the defeat against Dustin Poirier

On Wednesday, the former UFC Champion of UFC Conor McGregor posted on his personal Instagram summary summarizing the confrontation between England and Dustin Poirier at UFC 257. Under this video, McGregor not only analyzed the evolution of the match and also showed quite a regret when he was ignored with Dustin Poirier.

“I was actually very excited to have more time inside UFC iron cage. In the past 3 years, I only had 40 seconds on the stage, so I enjoyed every second of my fighting moments,” McGregor wrote.

“I lacked seriousness when I entered this match, using the boxing posture of Boxing mainly. So a defeat is what I deserve when I chose this rematch to prepare for the boxing competition with Pacman. I deserve to be lame and cramped because of this disregard.

However, Conor McGregor was still optimistic when referring to the bright spots he showed in the match against Poirier.

“In addition to those problems, my attacks were quite accurate and I completely controlled them. I still fought very effectively, even though I had pain from Poirier's kicks during the match.

“It's quite formidable. This is the first time I have to experience this pain. And then, Poirier finishes with terrible punches.”

Conor McGregor seems to be looking forward to recovery with Dustin Poirier in the near future. Just hope Poirier does not refuse!
