Conor McGregor is no longer the owner of the Whiskey Proper 12 brand

Conor McGregor's Whiskey Proper 12 brand is no stranger to MMA fans.

As the founder and also one of the main shareholders of the company that owns Proper 12, Conor McGregor participates enthusiastically in promoting the Irish Whiskey specialties. So much so that the press conference organized matches with Floyd Mayweather or Khabib Nurmagomedov, McGregor also carried the bottle of Whiskey.

But according to the recent update, Conor McGregor's Proper 12 brand has been named as a Mexican refreshment company named Becle, the owner of the Tequila Jose Cuervo. On February 23, Becle successfully owned 51% of the shares of Eire Born Spirits by McGregor and the Audie Attar manager in 2018.

Initially, the number of Becle's stake was 20%, then increased to 49%at the end of last year and now is 51%. Therefore, it can be said that the decision of the Proper 12 brand is no longer in the hands of Conor McGregor.

Up to now, it is unclear whether Conor will continue to become a brand ambassador for Proper 12 and Eire Born Spirit or will change under the influence of Becle.

Proper 12 was founded around September 2018, coinciding with the time when Conor was about to go to boxing with Floyd Mayweather Jr. This whiskey brand is named after the residential area that Conor once grew up in Crumin, Dublin, Ireland.
