On the first day of the Thailand Boxing Tournament, the Vietnam Boxing team has 2 fighters, Vu Thanh Dat (63kg Nam) and Tran Duc Tho (69kg Nam). Thanh Dat was the first victory for Boxing Vietnam when surpassing BhuPendra Thapa (Nepal).
“I hope that after Thanh Dat's match, the Vietnam Boxing team will have many next victories,” said coach Nguyen Anh Dung, Head of the Vietnamese delegation at the Thailand tournament. He also hopes that in the near future, Boxing Vietnam can shorten the gap with regional powers like Thailand and the Philippines.
In the Thai tournament expanded 2022, the Vietnamese Boxing team attended with 17 members. This list includes many boxers who have played the professional boxing boxing such as Tran Van Thao, Truong Dinh Hoang, Nguyen Van Duong and Nguyen Thi Tam. However, at the end, Truong Dinh Hoang was withdrawn from the registration list.

The expanded Thai Boxing Prize will take place from the 1st to 10/4 in Phuket City. The boxers will compete in a total of 13 sets of medals in this tournament, including 6 weight classes for women (48kg, 51kg, 57kg, 60kg, 69kg, 75kg) and 7 weight classes of men (52kg, 57kg, 63kg, 69kg, 75kg, 81kg, 91kg).
