The coach of Charles Oliveira, Diego Lima, said “Do Bronx” had a foot injury while practicing before UFC 262.
In an interview with AG Fight, Lima explained exactly why Oliveira could not use the foot of the foot as much as they expected in the match against Chandler. However, despite injury during training, Diego was happy to see the recovery of Oliveira and how he handled the match in the octagon cage.
“Charles was injured in the foot due to slipping during training, so we could not make too much kicks,” Mr. Diego Lima said.
“It took a while for Charles to start using the foot. We only started to kick within the match.
“However, nothing can make Charles worried. He is an invincible, wonderful warrior.”
Oliveira's victory marked the 9th time he won at UFC and the 31st victory in his professional MMA competition.
There is no information about when Charles Oliveira will return to the octagon cage, but it seems that the upcoming rematch between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor will decide who will be the first to fight the “Do Bronx” light championship journey.
