Two years ago, Nguyen Tri Dung once broadcast television in the program “What I want to say”. It was the time when the boy born in 2009 was struggling to fight cancer. When Tri Dung was being treated under the hospital regimen, she was forced to stop taking medicine because the family finance was exhausted.
According to Tri Dung and her family, she grew up in difficult circumstances. Tri Dung's father fell into a rooster to raise children, and took care of him alone since Tri Dung was only 1 year old. The father and son went to Ho Chi Minh City to make a career, creating conditions for Tri Dung to pursue his passion for martial arts when he knew that he had cancer.
At that moment, many benefactors accompanied Tri Dung to overcome difficulties. Thanks to MC Oc Thanh Van, boxer Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc, Truong Dinh Hoang, Binh Duong boxing team and many individuals and organizations contributed, Tri Dung's family had enough money to help her overcome the disease. It was also the time when Tri Dung decided to return to the boxing floor.
1 year after winning cancer, Tri Dung first stepped onto the national boxing stage. I won the 2022 Young Award, and successfully changed the medal this year when I won the gold medal ages 13-14. The victory on Tri Dung's boxing arena is the common victory of those who helped me overcome at the most difficult time.
At the present time, Tri Dung is a member of the Military Boxing delegation, the unit has won 19 gold medals, 8 gold medals and 3 bronze medals at the National Boxing Championship of 2023. With the Boxing training and development tradition, this is the Military Boxing year to win the 3 most delegations in all ages for the male athletes, besides the 3-year-old female union aged 15-16.
