July 7 is the birthday of coach Le Van Phuong (Army). On the birthday, and like usual, instead of being at home with relatives, this coach set out to do the mission at the young boxing tournament nationwide. This is familiar to coach Le Van Phuong for many years.
On the first day of competition of the tournament, coach Le Van Phuong was present at the stadium very early. Exactly 60 minutes before the first match, he was present with the athlete Tran Quang Minh, who “opened the goods” for the whole team. Quang Minh played in a 42kg weight class of 13-14 years old at the National Boxing Championship nationwide.
The most meaningful gift for a coach is victory, and Tran Quang Minh did. This athlete surpassed Dao Gia Huy (Hanoi) by calculating the point after 3 rounds, thereby reaching the next round of the tournament. In all 3 rounds, Quang Minh won the point before the opponent.
At the present time, the military is one of the top high -achievement boxing development units in Vietnam. Military boxers often go deep within the framework of national boxing tournaments, especially in the men's boxing category. This also brings a large workload to the coaches.
In the case of coach Le Van Phuong, who is holding the position of deputy coach, he is responsible for directing the matches. Therefore, in the context of the “Song Dai” competition, this coach may have to constantly move between the two sides of the competition to promptly guide and direct the athletes.
