ASBC: Boxing Thailand brings the strongest squad in history to ASIAD 19

According to information from the Asian Boxing Federation (ASBC), the Thai boxing team will attend ASIAD 19 with 12 boxers. They put very high expectations in this tournament, when the International Olympic Committee (IOC) decided to choose ASIAD 19 as the Paris 2024 Olympic qualifying round. Each weight of the Games of the Olympics will select 2-4 athletes to France next year.

The large number of athletes of the Thai boxing team will help them compete in 12/13 competition content. ASBC said this was one of the most powerful teams in the history of Thailand. They own up to 6 boxers who are considered candidates for the championship at the European Games this year.

Here are Thai boxers considered as ASIAD 19, according to ASBC:

– Chuthamat Raksat (Women's 50kg weight): At the age of 30, Raksat is one of the most experienced veterans of Boxing Thailand. She defeated Vietnamese boxers Le Thi Ngoc Anh at the 2015 SEA Games, then won the gold medal. Besides, Raksat won the bronze medal of the 2014 and 2019 world championships.

The Raksat weight competition has many strong athletes playing such as Nguyen Thi Tam (Vietnam), Tsukimi Namiki (Japan, Tokyo Olympic Games), Nikhat Zareeen (the defending world champion), Chang Yuan (ASIAD 18), Pang Chol Mi (World Championship 2018), Nazym Kyzaibay (Kazakhstan, 2014, 2014 World Chamber).

– Jutamas Jitpong (weight of 54kg): Over the past two years, Jitpong's most successful time when she won the World Medal of 2022, World Bronze Medal 2023, Asian Medal 2022, HCV SEA Games 32 (2023). Jitpong is only 26 years old, and she is in extremely high form to head to the world playground in the near future.

– Janjaem Suwannapheng (Women's 66kg weight): At the age of 22, Janjaem Suwannapheng is considered to be the outstanding talent of the Thai female boxing box. She won 1 gold medal, 1 bronze medal in the two nearest world championships.

– Thitisan Panmod (51kg weight class): Having won the gold medal in the World Young Championship, Thitisan Panmod is one of the youngest athletes of the Southern Boxing Boxing attend the Tokyo Olympic Games. The 23 -year -old boxer completely recovered his knee injury to prepare for the most fierce matches at ASIAD 19.

– Bunjong Sinsiri (weight of 63.5kg men): In the past 2 years, Bunjong Sinsiri has shown the power of Asia's leading puncher. – Weerapon Jongjoho (weight of 80kg male): Martial artists born in 2001 have won bronze medal in the world. Towards ASIAD 19, Weerapon Jongjoho has tried to play in the new class. In addition to the above 6 championship candidates, Thailand also sent many other strong athletes to attend such as Porntip BuaaPa, Thananya Somnuek, Baison Manikon, Rujakran Juntrong.

In the history of Asian Boxing, Thailand is the second successful country with 20 gold medals, 23 gold medals and 31 bronze medals. Thap Pagoda is also the place to choose the 2nd Olympic qualifying round in May 2024. But with the current powerful athletes, the opportunity for Thailand boxing to win many tickets to Paris is huge.
