VSP Promotion recently announced the boxing match between the old puncher of Boxing Vietnam Nguyen Van Hai and Philippine boxers Jino Rodrigo will be held on March 5, 2022.
This will also be the Co-Main match of the event, behind the heroic letter between the WBA Asian champion Super Featherweight Rollan Aldea with unbeaten fist Charly Suarez is holding 9-0 and 6 Knockout wins.
Nguyen Van Hai is the old face of Boxing Vietnam with countless domestic titles. Starting professional competition since 2015, Nguyen Van Hai was unbeaten in the domestic arena, stepped onto the international arena, he had an impressive victory over Ki Soo Lee.
After 4 years of interrupted career, in 2019, Nguyen Van Hai returned to the battlefield and defeated the Indonesian Iwan Key puncher.
Recalling the 30th SEA Games, Nguyen Van Hai excelled over the opponents to enter the final of the 64kg weight class. However, although he played very well, he lost from the hand of the gold medal with the decision to cause mixed opinions from the referee and had to pity to leave the 2019 SEA Games with the silver medal.

Earlier, the “silent monster” Jino Rodrigo was scheduled for the former Featherweight WBA Jhack Tepora championship on December 17, 2021 in Panglao, Bohol. However, Tepora suffered from gastritis, could not be as predestined, so Jino Rodrigo will become the next opponent of Nguyen Van Hai.
Jino Rodrigo visited Vietnam in 2019, after exchanging with a few Vietnamese boxers. Since then, Rodrigo has been eager to play a professional match with a Vietnamese puncher.
