Recently, UFC has officially announced the 2 -class Women's Women's Champion who will protect the Bantamweight Championship at UFC 265 against Julianna Pena.
Amanda Nunes had a completely overwhelming performance in the recent Featherweight belt against her and Megan Anderson at UFC 259 – she took only 2 minutes to staggered the opponent, pulled Anderson to the floor and ended the match by tightening.
Compared to Amanda Nunes, Julianna Pena is somewhat “much inferior”. Pena should have prepared to confront the former Holly Holm king also at the UFC 259 event. Unfortunately, Holm was injured, the match against Pena was canceled.
However, Julianna Pena did not lack confidence in his ability to win.
“I know Amanda Nunes will not want to fight me,” Pena said in an interview with Ariel Helwani.
“She knew that the upper stage with an opponent like me would be the worst option. Remember, Amanda Nunes used to fight Cat Zingano. What happened in that match?
UFC 265 is expected to take place on August 7. The belt match between Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena was the first match to be confirmed for the event.
