Aljamain Sterling claims to be the 'khabib' of Bantamweight

With Aljamain Sterling, this is the second time he has been “named” by the analysts as the most potential person to become a new champion. Earlier, in 2017, Sterling had a series of beautiful victories before the feet lost former WSOF Marlon Moraes. This has made Sterling followers sobbed for a long time, because at that time he had almost come very close to the stretch of painting.

Not letting the defeat make me discouraged, Aljamain Sterling returned to the stage. And this time he did not betray the audience: a series of 5 consecutive wins against Brett Johns, Cody Stamann, Jimmie Rivera, Pedro Muhoz and Cory Sandhagen brought Aljamain Sterling to a stretching capacity with the current champion Petr Yan.

On the eve of UFC 259, Sterling was very confident that his Grappling technique was superior to the opponents of the same weight class. Comparing himself with Khabib Nurmagomedov, Aljamain Sterling said that he could repeat Khabib's success in Bantamweight.

“I have a very strong wrist to pull,” Sterling said. “Any opponent that I grabbed on the floor will have a bad night, especially when I captured the control position to pound the Ground and Pound. I will pull my opponent down and pound him out.

“I don't show off, but actually, Khabib and I used things and locked to lock any muzzle for a long time. Khabib was more famous, and more excellent, though, we did a good job of grasping the opponent to the floor and for him to beat him. I like I think I am a Khabib version of Bantamweight.”

Having practiced with Grappling players such as “Tiger” Magomedov, Timur Valiev, Askar Askarov and Cody Stamann, Aljamain Sterling have reason to be confident. But to assert that he can “prostitute” like Khabib, first of all Aljamain Sterling must surpass Petr Yan at UFC 259.
