According to the research of Thethao.vnafter the end of the training trip at Phan Thiet, members of the Vietnam Boxing team will participate in the selection competition at the Boxing Championship of strong teams nationwide 2022. Organized from 23 to 31/3, this tournament was held right before the 31 SEA Games to select the strongest athletes to represent the Vietnamese boxing team to compete on the home field in May.
In the Vietnamese boxing team, this time, in Tran Van Thao's 54kg weight class, there is another very strong boxer Bui Trong Thai. The puncher born in 1994 is currently the defending national champion after defeating Bui Cong Danh Loi in the final of the tournament last year. In the past, Bui Trong Thai and Tran Van Thao encountered each other in the 2016 steel arena qualifying. The winner was “Trigger” Van Thao.
After fulfilling the obligations in the national team, Tran Van Thao and his colleagues will return to the professional boxing. The far goal of “The Trigger” will still be to conquer the World WBC championship after winning the Asian WBC belt 2017.
