Adesanya planned to return to UFC in 2024, acknowledging a bitter thing

The last time Israel Adesanya competed in the UFC arena was at the UFC 293 event in September 2023. That was the time The Last StyleBender received a defeat against Sean Strickland by calculating the consensus. All three assessments dot Adesanya to 4/5 in the half, and only won a single half point.

After the defeat of Sean Strickland, it was reported that Adesanya would take a break for a while. However, he decided to return soon in 2024. If everything goes smoothly, the former UFC champion of Middleweight Weighing Union can completely return to the championship race in the near future.

“People talk about me will retire early, or take a break for up to 5 years, but my decision is not like that. I only temporarily rest in a short time, after 4 matches in 14 months,” Adesanya said on his personal Youtube page.

Besides wanting to return to the competition soon, Adesanya also acknowledged the truth about herself. He said he understood that he was gradually moving across the slope of his career. For that reason, this boxer will adjust his schedule in the near future. Adesanya will play less, and focus on quality.

“When I was enough to play, I knew I would fight next year. I still enjoy my own matches, but by caring and towards the victory of each match,” Adesanya said. New Zealand boxers will turn 35 in the next year.
