Last October, after defeating Justin Gaethje, the reigning champion of the Lightweight UFC Khabib Nurmagomedov has announced his martial arts. Appearing back at UFC 257 as a guest, once again, Khabib “slammed the door” in the hope of attracting him back to UFC President Dana White.
Recently, Khabib Nurmagomedov has continued to make fans stir and curious when posting a video running on the beach with the caption:
“I am preparing for football debut. I am a freelance player, ready for any team.”
Almost immediately, Khabib received an invitation from Kamaz FC Club. The club is currently participating in Russian professional football tournament (Russian Professional Football League (PFL), the third largest football tournament in Russia. Kamaz FC is currently only 4 points behind the top position. Kamaz FC expressed his desire to recruit Khabib and officially made an invitation on Intagram.
“Welcome Khabib. We want to invite you to our team for our debut,” Kamaz FC's Instagram account posted an invitation.
“PFL is another UFC but in the football segment. Each match is a goal for us. We are an ambitious team with the mission of coming to FNL. We invite you to participate in training at Novorossiysk, from February 12 to March 5, 2021”.
The Russian professional football tournament PFL later also supported Kamaz FC's decision with a Twitter post: “We have prepared you a certificate for @teamkhabib. If everything goes smoothly, you just need to fill out the date is done.”
Currently, there is no information about whether the Khabib has accepted the invitation or not.
