Just a few days after receiving a document from the Vietnam Boxing Federation (VBF) on the proposal to reverse the Boxing Championship schedule of strong teams nationwide 2023 (Cup) to November, the Department of Sports has responded. Accordingly, this unit asked VBF to continue organizing the boxing cup in April.
According to VBF's explanation, this unit is consolidating personnel to organize the 2nd term Congress. This takes a lot of time and manpower, so in the case of organizing a national tournament, both jobs will not be guaranteed. Meanwhile, the Department of Sports and Sports wanted a domestic boxing award before the 32nd SEA Games.
iThethao.vn Recognized in the latest notice to the local boxing coaches, Mr. Vu Duc Thinh (Head of Boxing – Kickboxing, Department of Sports, General Secretary of VBF) said: The Department of Sports and Sports has asked VBF to organize the Boxing Championships of strong national teams in April.
According to the Notice from the Sports Department to VBF, the Boxing Championship of the National teams nationwide 2023 is considered a arena to help the athletes play to improve their professional qualifications, re -evaluate the forces preparing for the 32 SEA Games.
But in fact, the Vietnam Boxing team has been summoned since the beginning of February. Not long after the National Sports Festival 2022 closed, the Department of Sports and Physical Training (previously the General Department of Sports and Physical Training) decided to convene members to the national boxing team.
The original list was only members of the men's team, and the female team practiced in Ho Chi Minh City. Members of the women's training team in Hanoi are concentrated later, although this is a group of “key” athletes who bring their achievements for Boxing Vietnam over the past time.
Another issue to note is last year, the Boxing Championship of strong national teams took place at the end of March in Tien Giang province. At that time, members of the national boxing team did not play this tournament. They set out to attend the expanded Thai boxing tournament, then stayed to practice before returning home.
