Nguyen Thi Tam is the first Vietnamese athlete to win tickets to the Paris Olympic Games

Before a Wassila Lkhadiri with a very high form at the World Women's Boxing Championship 2023, Nguyen Thi Tam still calmly deciphered the French opponent. At the World Women's Boxing Championship 2023, the World Boxing Federation (IBA) announced the two Paris Olympic Games for each weight class in this tournament. The above information was also confirmed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Thus, Nguyen Thi Tam has become the first Vietnamese athlete to have tickets to Paris to attend the 2024 Olympics.

The ticket to the Paris Olympic Games of Nguyen Thi Tam also helped her set a series of new milestones for Boxing Vietnam. The boxer born in 1994 became the first to represent Vietnamese boxing to attend 2 consecutive Olympic Games. Earlier, she appeared in the Tokyo Olympic Games. The opponent defeated Nguyen Thi Tam in the first round and then won the championship.

Considered as the fighter to the highest level of Boxing Vietnam ever, Nguyen Thi Tam has twice the Asian championship (2017, 2022). She is also the first boxer of Boxing Vietnam to successfully protect the SEA Games gold medal with 2 championships in 2019 and 2022. Currently, Nguyen Thi Tam is a boxer of the Hanoi Women's Boxing team.

After winning the semi -final of the World Women's Boxing Championship 2023, Nguyen Thi Tam will have 2 more days of rest. The final match of 50kg weight took place on the evening of March 26, where the fighter won the bonus up to $ 100,000 from IBA.
