Accordingly, the fighters who do not have Vietnamese nationality can only register to attend when living and working in Vietnam from 12 months, longer than 6 months compared to the old regulations.
In 2023, Lion Championship recorded many foreign boxers who registered to play at the tournament. They soon showed the superiority in terms of expertise, as well as the state of competition. Many people won the championship in the first year of attending the tournament such as Robson Oliveira (60kg male) and Felipe Negochadle (65kg male).
Besides Robson Oliveira and Felipe Negochadle, Lion Championship now has two other foreign boxers playing from the first season and holding the championship belt. They are Chelsey Cashwell (60kg female) and Aleksey Filonenko (77kg male). These are all boxers winning the championship.
With 9 weighing classes, Lion Championship has up to 4 athletes not Vietnamese keeping the championship belt showing the difference of foreign representatives. In addition to the four names above, Lion Championship now has many other foreign boxers towards the painting such as Bianka Balajti (56kg female), James Bernal (77kg male).
Another foreign boxer is also considering returning to play in Lion Championship in the near future is Jovidon Khojaev. This Central Asian boxer played a match in the first season and had an impressive victory. He did not play in the past year for accepting the competition in some international MMA tournaments.
