Newly elected Chairman of the MMA Thanh Hoa Federation on December 5, the new Chairman Nguyen Van Vy shared that his greatest joy is now helping the fighters with a passion for general martial arts with the best training and competition.
“The birth of the Federation was just the first initial step, we still have a lot of work to do to bring Thanh Hoa on the MMA map of the country, the continent and the international arena,” said Nguyen Van Vy.
Talking about the predestined relationship with MMA, Mr. Vy shared, he himself loves martial arts from a young age – he often practices martial arts to train his will and improve health. Like many other people who are passionate about martial arts, Mr. Vy especially loves the matches of MMA boxers on UFC and ONE Championship.

The predestined relationship became a pioneer to bring martial arts to the country to Mr. Nguyen Van Vy when he met his old friend again, athlete Nguyen Van Hung – who had won the SEA Games Games Games Games Teakwondo. The hero was now retired from the stage, doing training and developing the local martial arts movement.

At that time, Mr. Hung wanted to build a MMA center in his homeland but had not found an investment direction due to capital difficulties. Understanding and sharing with the difficulties of Tam Giao's friend who once sweated together on the carpet, had a bit of capital accumulated after the success of the clean orange farm, Mr. Vy decided to work with the hero to invest in a first general martial arts club in Thanh Hoa.
True to his assertive manner, thinking that he and Vy and hero invested more than 3 billion VND to establish the MMA VH center in Thanh Hoa. The advantage of the two brothers is that when meeting and exchanging their enthusiasm, the brothers were supported by Mr. Ngo Duc Quynh, Chairman of the MMA Vietnam Federation. Therefore, on April 20, 2021, the MMA VH Center was officially launched and became the first member of the Vietnam General Martial Arts Federation.
Not stopping there, to be able to contribute greater to social work, Mr. Vy and his colleagues mobilized to establish the General Martial Arts Federation of Thanh Hoa. On December 5, the General Martial Arts Federation (MMA) of Thanh Hoa province held the first Congress, term 2021-2026. At the Congress, businessman Nguyen Van Vy was trusted to be the Chairman of the Federation.
“In Thanh Hoa since ancient times, traditional martial arts and ethnic objects are very popular sports in social classes. Especially in the early days of spring or traditional festivals, besides folk entertainment activities, it is also indispensable for the objects, the ring always attracts the attention of the masses,” Chairman Nguyen Van Vy said about the development potential of MMA martial arts.
“The martial arts, in addition to entertainment is also a useful sports activity to help people practice improving health and energy, and also a method of training and training for soldiers to fight foreign invaders.”
