July 22 is the last day of the National Boxing Championship 2023, with the finals of men and women ages 17-18. Before the beginning of the last competition, the Organizing Committee took a minute to recite coach Do Duc Dung, who died while on duty at the tournament.
Mr. Do Duc Dung was born in 1971, once in charge of the Vietnam Boxing team coach, national arbitration. In recent years, he is mainly in charge of the athletes of the Hanoi boxing team. He died in the morning of July 22, after 1 day of admission to food poisoning.
Immediately after learning that coach Do Duc Dung's illness was seriously changing, the Organizing Committee of the National Boxing Championship of 2023 supported the Hanoi Boxing team to find a treating doctor, and mobilized volunteers to donate blood. However, coach Do Duc Dung's illness still changes and does not survive.
On July 22, Boxing in Hanoi had 2 matches of the athlete Can Minh Thai (48kg male weight) and Le Thanh Long (60kg male weight). Men's finals will take place immediately after the female content is closed. After that, the organizers will conduct a medal and close the tournament.
The National Boxing Championship 2023 plays from July 9-22 at Go Vap Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City. The tournament has 3 age groups for young men and women: 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18. This is one of the three high achievements of Boxing.
