On the evening of December 19, the MMA Cup of Vietnam Cup 2021 organized by the MMA Vietnam Federation took place successfully, with 8 full -eye matches and full of fire, leaving many unforgettable impressions in the hearts of fans.
In particular, the gloves were honored as the “match of the night” between Nguyen Duc Long and Nguyen Phung Hoai Phuong, which was considered an extremely classic MMA match between a good fighter (Duc Long) and a very good martial artist (Hoai Phuong).
Talking to Thethao.vn, boxer Nguyen Duc Long shared: “I feel a bit regretful with the last match. Now I will come back to practice and improve myself in the MMA player. Because of the time of preparation for this event, it is a bit urgent, so I will be regretful.”
Nguyen Duc Long was originally a martial arts general in 3 subjects, Boxing – Kickboxing – Traditional martial arts. He easily overwhelmed the opponent in both the first half with accurate attacks. Unfortunately, Duc Long did not have much experience in the battlefield and had to receive TKO defeat in the third half despite the lead on the game.
If you have time to prepare more carefully in fighting, surely rival Nguyen Phung Hoai Phuong is also difficult to win this victory. In fact, with red legs, Hoai Phuong did not dare to fight in the third half.
“Hoai Phuong is an opponent specializing in battlefield but not strong in the fighting segment. Anyway he is a rather strong opponent and I respect it,” Duc Long added.
“Coming to this match, I really thank the teachers who have led me in the martial arts path. The people who always support me on the stage. And especially, thank the organizers for creating a playground to help boxers like me satisfy the passion for MMA.”
With available talent, Nguyen Duc Long still has a lot of time to improve himself and will surely succeed in the MMA arena in the future.
