In the 10th anniversary of UFC, the tournament organization unit, Ultimate Fighting Championship, announced the establishment of UFC fame lobby. This is the place to honor the fighters who have contributed greatly to the development of UFC throughout the development tournament.
The first person to be elected to the lobby of UFC fame was boxer Khabib Nurmagomedov. At the honoring ceremony, Khabib shared quite a lot of interesting things about life, martial arts, UFC and his opponents who had encountered before. There, Khabib spends a lot of time mentioning Conor McGregor.
“Defeating Conor McGregor is the greatest moment in my career,” Khabib said. “In the competition, there is always a time when he lost to lose, and I could fail in any match. But losing to McGregor, no life I wanted to lose to him.”
The first meeting, also the only one between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor took place on October 6, 2018, within the framework of the UFC 229 event. The UFC Lightweight Beeting battle closed in the fourth half, when Khabib caused McGregor to ask for a loss with an ancient clamp.
In 2021, Khabib announced the retirement. He kept the achievement of Toan Thang in the MMA general martial arts arena in general, as well as UFC in particular before saying goodbye to the octagon cage. Meanwhile, McGregor continues to play but no longer holds the peak form as before.
After retirement, Khabib gradually turned to training and organizing MMA tournaments. He has a cousin Umar Nurmagomedov, who has just reached the top 10 top 10 bantamweight UFC fighters. Umar has a record of 15 matches in the professional MMA arena.
