Sharing before the media, the Organizing Committee of the Angel's Fighting Championship (AFC) said the AFC 23 event has 8 matches. This is the tournament that brings together the top names with dense experience in the regional and international martial arts arena. It is expected that the event began at 19:00 on March 10.
However, unlike the AFC 21 event that took place in Vietnam, AFC 23 has only one home fighter attended. It was Nguyen Tien Long, the boxer who used the final of the MMA Vietnam Championship Lion Champion with Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat. Underestimated and have to fight against the forte, but Tien Long still shows very well against his seniors.
Earlier at AFC 21, 6 Vietnamese boxers competed. The female athlete Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc is the only winner. She then won the convincing Lion Championship. The fact that there are not many Vietnamese fighters winning as Thanh Truc comes from the fact that they suffer from an unexpected cause: the competition format.
AFC applies the competition format very different from Vietnamese boxers who are familiar with the law of Lion Championship and other MMA tournaments. Accordingly, AFC's competition formats help optimize the advantages of martial artists specializing in clenching objects and limit the striking fighter's blow.
Unlike Korean boxers, MMA Vietnamese boxers have a lot of fighting about Striking. Their grappling skills are not complete, and that makes Vietnamese boxers disadvantaged when they have to encounter strong opponents in terms of objects. As long as the opponent is close, the striking attacks will not be able to promote the maximum effect.
Some basic provisions of the law in AFC:
– Allow the use of HEEL, HOOK and Twist attacks (breaking the knee, breaking the heel, breaking the spine) in the grappling. In Vietnam, these locking techniques are dangerous techniques and banned from playing at the Vietnam MMA Championship Lion Championship.
– Allow the elbows and pillows, but only used when hitting standing. Prohibit hitting the face and on the pillow when kneeling and lying. At MMA Vietnam, the boxer was beaten and on the pillow when kneeling and lying. Vietnamese boxers often use this technique to fight grappling.
