Today, Vietnamese boxing history has turned a new page when we officially have the first professional boxing champion at the world level: “Black Angel” Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi.
Thu Nhi defeated former Etsuko Tada with 96-94 results from all three referees in 10 rounds, officially becoming a new World-Flyweight World World World Championship.
True to what the audience expects, the competition between Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi and Etsuko Tada took place extremely dramatic. Two female boxers did not hesitate to change the blow from the first half.
A bit slower and less accurate than Etsuko Tada, but Thu Nhi knows her advantage: the blow and powerful punches. Thu Nhi is very good in the counter -attacks, especially in the second half of the match 7, 9 and 10.

As the defending champion of the Asia -Pacific Wbo champion, owning the World WBO championship is a big step for Thu Nhi.
Puncher Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi is from An Giang's native, starting to practice boxing from the age of 13 and officially became a professional boxer since 2019. Thu Nhi is the winner of the gold medal in the National Championship in 3 years 2015 – 2017-2018; Championships nationwide clubs for 5 consecutive years from 2015 to 2019.
After moving to a professional, Thu Nhi became the first female boxer in Vietnam to win the Asian WBO championship in March 2020, and now the first Vietnamese boxer to win the World World World Championship on October 23, 2021.
