Tyson Fury: There will never be a match against Usyk

Fury became the focus of the world boxing village when defeating Dillian Whyte in the heavy WBC battle on April 24 in Wembley. After winning, Fury once again confirmed that he would retire.

“I am an indisputable champion. I have won every belt. I have nothing to prove it, I have finished,” Fury said on the talkSport.

Although Fury claimed to have retired, the rumors of the next match of GYSPY King still appeared. Accordingly, the winner in the match between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk could become the next opponent of Fury.

“That match (with USYK) will never happen because I have retired. But say I will punch him around the yard,” Fury confirmed that there would be no match against Usyk in the future.

Fury once intended to fight Joshua in the match against the championship. However, Joshua's unexpected failure against Usyk last year made the plan go bankrupt. Later, Fury decided to choose the match against Whyte as the farewell match of his boxing.

The “second leg” match between Usyk and Joshua was set to take place on July 23 in Saudi Arabia. In the match in September last year, USYK excelled to defeat the British puncher in London. Thereby winning WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO belts from the opponent. Fury announced that there would be no match against USYK, but left the ability to fight fellow puncher, Joshua. If Joshua regained 4 championship belts from USYK in the rematch in July, not excluding the possibility that Fury would re -appear in the unification of the championship belts.
