435 athletes attend the Asian Young Boxing Championship

The Asian Boxing Championship 2023 officially opened on October 23 in Astana, Kazakhstan. This year's tournament attracted 435 athletes including: 284 men, 151 women. Martists will play at the age of 15-16 and 17-18.

This year's tournament was held at Beeline Arena – where the 2012 London Olympic Games took place in Asia. 23 arbitrators will be assigned to do tasks, including 13 referees in Asia and the remaining 10 referees in other areas to ensure fairness.

Athletes from 22 countries in Asia: Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Palestine, Philippines, Tajikistan, Thailand, Torpenistan, Turkmenistan, Unified Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the International Boxing Association (IBA), Mr. Umar Kremleev highly appreciated the preparation of the host country Kazkhstan and the coordination of the Asian Boxing Federation. The country is also one of the leading water in the world to produce Olympic champions and the world.

Vietnam participated in the tournament with the force of 16 fighters, the largest ever. Young fighters were selected from the National Boxing Championship nationwide. In addition, the funding for this year's athlete is the budget of localities. This will help young boxers have the opportunity to experience international competition early. Many talents of young boxing Vietnam are expected to achieve achievements in the tournament such as Huynh Thao Linh, Luong Anh Tuyet, Truong Van Vinh or Tran Quang Loc.
