“Boxing is meaningful to the US market, where the truly professional bosses are working. If Hearn decides to step in to the US, he will face the risk of wasting hundreds of millions of dollars without doing anything here,” Oscar de La Hoya affirmed on Instagram to attack Eddie Hearn.
In response to De La Hoya, Hearn responded: “Are you okay? You cling to the tail, watching me like a true fan. Your boxer has just won big, but his mind always thinks of me 24/7. Unfortunately for you, I am a martial arts boss on a global scale, operating all over the world.
“I have 18 world champions, and you only have 4. I have big plans to work with people, to develop the global sports market, and there are interesting talents in the US market. Wish you the best things, and hope you can enjoy what you do,” Hearn concluded.
Eddie Hearn was born in 1979, is President of Matchroom Sport, one of the largest sports promotion units in the world at the moment.
