At the National Boxing Championship of 2024, the host of Quang Ngai won the first place in the female category ages 15-16. However, that achievement did not accurately reflect the movement of training and competition in Boxing in Quang Ngai, where the athletes and coaches were leading in Vietnam.
According to an unofficial statistics, the number of Quang Ngai athletes attended the National Boxing Championship of 2024 at about 200-300. This figure is equivalent to 33-50% of the athletes of the tournament, showing that this is really the “stronghold” of Boxing Vietnam. This is also the trend to continue in the coming years.
In addition to playing for the province, the Quang Ngai athletes also joined the units stretching from North to South. Units such as military, Hanoi, Da Nang, Dak Lak, Can Tho, Ca Mau, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City and many other localities have been playing athletes in Quang Ngai.
Besides the large athletes, Quang Ngai Boxing currently has many people working in the position of professional officials, referees, as well as coach. The current general arbitration of the Vietnam Boxing Federation is Mr. Nguyen Van Hien, who also undertook the position of General Secretary of Quang Ngai Martial Arts Federation.
The National Boxing Championship of 2024 has ended with many high quality matches. This is also a playground to help discover new talents of Boxing Vietnam, thereby fostering and raising the children before turning to adulthood (19-40).
