Although completely healthy, but due to needing time to adjust the body in the new weight class and troublesome issues in the match cable, until now Jon Jones has not been able to be upper. UFC President Dana White recently said Jones's next match will not last too long.
“The problem of Jon Jones will have to be solved, in some way. I know Jones and (UFC's sales manager) Hunter Campbell are good friends. They will sit back together and close soon,” UFC president said on ESPN.
Dana White also said that UFC would be able to arrange for Jon Jones to confront the former heavy King Stipe Miocic while Francis Ngannou Thuong Dai with Derrick Lewis.
“I know, many people still underestimate Miocic. They do not consider Miocic as the greatest martial artist UFC, but Miocic is really worthy of that title,” White said.
“At this point, I am not guaranteed to be able to arrange or not, but I know Miocic is very enthusiastic for the upper radio and we can completely have a match between Jon and Stipe.”
This will not necessarily be an idea that will make Jon Jones satisfied – he has invested to prepare to confront the defending champion Francis nunnou during the past time.
However, because Jones still wanted to have a better income, President Dana White has repeatedly affirmed that he will let the nunnou remain with Derrick Lewis.
