Mayweather, Tyson, McGregor: Who is the 'King of ticket sales' in the antagonistic sports industry?

According to data from the World Boxing News, if based on the number, there is definitely no puncher who can now beat the title of “King to make money” by Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather is still “lonely” with a classic match with Manny Pacquiao attracting 4.6 million paid views.

Floyd Mayweather also occupied the second position with 4.3 million viewers thanks to the match with superstar MMA Conor McGregor. Even the match between England and “Golden Boy” Oscar de la Hoya in 2007 also reached 2.7 million viewers to pay, ranked 3rd in the list.

Meanwhile, in addition to the second position with Mayweather, Conor McGregor appeared in 4th when there were 2.4 million viewers in the match against Khabib Nurmagomedov, the same 8th place with 1.6 million paid views in the rematch against Nate Diaz.

Compared to the two names above, Mike Tyson seems a bit modest when only appearing in the 6th and Saturdays with 1.9 million paid TV viewers in the match against Lennox Lewis and remaining with Evander Holyfield.

However, in both matches, Tyson received defeat and was in the downward period. Not to mention these two matches took place in 1997 and 2002, the time when the television digital time was not as strong as it was now.

Below is a list of the top 10 matches with the highest number of viewers in the world:
