Israel Adesanya still has a lot of challenges in Middleweight

On the early Sunday morning of June 13 in Vietnam, the Adesanya champion will have a confrontation with Italian boxer Marvin Vettori in the rematch that is most expected by fans in UFC 263.

After the first loss in his career against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259, Adesanya wanted to return to the octagon cage and find his unbeaten series. If you win against Blachowicz, Adesanya will probably continue to fight in a higher weight class. But after losing, Adesanya decided to cut the weight to 185lbs to play Middleweight, and Adesanya's first opponent was Vettori.

When asked if Adesanya had dominated Middleweight and no more opponents, President Dana White said that Adesanya still had many new challenges in his Middleweight segment.

“This is not very true. Everyone said the same thing about Anderson Silva for many years, and now Adesanya. There is always a wave after the previous bucket, currently Israel is playing very well in Middleweight, but maybe a few months to show a great deal. White answered.

Dana White suggested that Adesanya still has a formidable opponent that he has never encountered, Jared Cannonier – Cannonier is one of the few Middleweight candidates that Adesanya has never played.

“Let's see what will happen when Adesanya fights Jared Cannonier. Believe me, there are still many challenges in the Middleweight weight for Adesanya.” White added.
