A few days before the 32nd SEA Games took place, the Organizing Committee officially announced the competition program, along with the competition content of each subject. According to this notice, Boxing Sea Games 32 will have up to 17 contents of competition and awards. This is also one of the SEA Games that Boxing has the most huge competition program.
However, among the 17 contents of Boxing, up to 12 weight classes for men, spread evenly from 48kg male to over 92kg of men. According to the international boxing competition program, 2 rare weight classes of Boxing Men do not appear in the tournament in Cambodia are 46kg male and 75kg male.
In the opposite direction, the weight of the women's boxing at SEA Games 32 is somewhat reduced compared to the previous Congress. At the 31st SEA Games, the initial Boxing program has 6 content for women. But because 2 weight classes of 69kg and 75kg of women have only 2 boxers registered in each class, the last organizers must eliminate these two contents.
In addition, according to the regulations of the host country of Cambodia, countries participating in the 32nd SEA Games only compete up to 70% of the content of martial arts. According to this regulation, Vietnam can only register to attend 8 weight boxing men's weight classes, and 3 class weights. That makes the chance of winning the Vietnamese boxing medal significantly.
