“Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung had a successful return at UFC Vegas 29. Completely overwhelming Dan Ige on the arbitrator's transcript, Chan Sung Jung ended the match with a score of 48-47, 49-46, 49-46.
This victory was only Chan Sung Jung's first victory after he lost to Brian Ortega in October 2020, but according to “Korean Zombie”, it was a stepping stone that made him capable of gaining the right to fight belt.
Of course, Chan Sung Jung also judged himself that he needed a “dollar” victory to make sure the defending champion of Alexander Volkanovski. And so, he targeted former King Max Holloway.
“I want to confront Max (Holloway). He punched him without strength, I had,” Chan Sung Jung said when asked about the next opponent he wanted to encounter.
“Or the match against Max, or the battle of belt. Of course I look forward to the belt, but in case it cannot be done, I want to fight Max.”
“I know Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez are having a match with each other, I respect Yair and will not jump in between the two of them when the game has not been completed.”
However, according to recent updates, Max Holloway will not be able to confront Yair Rodriguez on July 17 due to injury during practice. Yair Rodriguez is currently looking for a new opponent.
