Instead of fighting 75kg weight as last year and in national championships, boxers of the army pressed down 4kg to compete in the weight of 71kg in weight, in order to increase the chances of competition in medals.
The opponent of Bui Phuoc Tung in the final of Boxing SEA Games 32 is Atichai Phoemsap, Thai boxer. This is a familiar face for Vietnamese athletes, because Atichai once encountered another face of the military boxing. In the Thai tournament expanded 2022, Atichai was the one who defeated the boxer Tran Duc Tho from the qualifying round.
Capital was underestimated than the opponent through the results of the training matches in Thailand, but Bui Phuoc Tung surprised when he actively attacked from the first minute. After Bui Phuoc Tung, Boxing Vietnam has another boxer to play. It was Ha Thi Linh, the boxer who won the 27th SEA Games. In this year's tournament, Ha Thi Linh played a weight of 63kg. Her opponent is Riza Pasuit, the boxer who won the SEA Games 30 runner -up.
