Immediately after the 32nd SEA Games, Boxing recruited only a few days before returning to the fierce practice reel prepared for ASIAD 19. The official list has not been revealed, but the bright faces of Vietnamese boxing are focusing and ready at the Hanoi Training and Sports Training Center.
On June 15, the Vietnam Boxing team will fly into Phan Thiet Association and practice preparing for the most important tournament in the second half of 2023 in the continental arena. The team will be stationed in the coastal city until the end of August, completing a dense training lesson plan here before taking the next moves.
Shortly thereafter, the Vietnamese boxing team will set out training at Uzbekistan. This is a country with a special boxing platform, so this training promises to help boxers have the opportunity to rub with international -class punchers.
And yet, in order to have a stronger momentum, Vietnamese punches will most likely attend the expanded Thai boxing. However, this trip is still waiting for approval. Before the 30th SEA Games, the boxing team also flew to the country of the Golden Temple.
Recently, Boxing Vietnam has received the good news when the doctors determined that Nguyen Thi Tam's ligament injury did not need surgery. Currently, Thai Binh's female puncher is practicing with a separate lesson plan to promptly recover for the attendance of ASIAD 19.
Of the 5 attendance at ASIAD 19, in addition to Nguyen Thi Tam, the remaining names are highly expected for Boxing Vietnam to name such as Nguyen Van Duong and Ha Thi Linh. In particular, Nguyen Thi Tam and Nguyen Van Duong have attended the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
ASIAD is the leading sports playground in the continent, Vietnamese sports set targets with 3-5 gold medals. In addition to Boxing, other subjects are expected such as Hoang Thi My Tam (Karate), Duong Thuy Vi (Wushu) … Because in the Asian arena, Vietnamese boxers will have to face rivals from much higher martial arts like China, Mongolia or Japan … and countries in Central Asia.
