Yesterday (July 14), Vietnam Boxing Organization (VBO) was officially established. VBO was founded in the name of a limited liability company. This is a company specializing in training fighters and organizing events related to professional boxing in Vietnam as well as bringing boxers to compete in international arenas. VBO aims to bring a 'professional boxing economic' environment for athletes to have a large revenue from matches. According to the 2018 Physical Education Law, VBO is considered a professional sports club and must register a member with the Vietnam Boxing Federation to be able to operate legally.
VBO sets the biggest goal of bringing the “professional boxing economy” environment, helping the boxers earn a large source of income from continuous competition as well as making professional boxing into a business that brings great economic value in Vietnam, which countries like Japan and the Philippines have been doing.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Vinh, Head of high -performance sports department, Department of Sports, said: “The birth of VBO creates many advantages for both boxing boxes, boxing players and Vietnamese boxing fans in accordance with the policy of developing high -performance sports and sports movement in Vietnam.
Vietnam Boxing Federation (VBF) is an agency under the Ministry of the Interior operating under the professional supervision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism established under the socialization mechanism. VBF is the highest boxing management unit in Vietnam in both professional boxing and high -performance boxing. VBF is a unit to organize high -achievement boxing awards across the country such as: Boxing award of strong national teams, the National Championship Boxing and the National Boxing Nationwide is currently taking place at the Go Vap District Culture and Sports Center, Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to the annual high -achievement system, VBF also organizes the world boxing system hosted by Vietnam and professional boxing events.
The National Boxing Award 2023 attracts the largest number of units participating in history. 44 units with 531 boxers registered to play in this year's tournament. This is a positive signal that the boxing movement in Vietnam is growing stronger.
