The National High School Sports Tournament in 2025 took place from June 9 to June 18, for students aged 18 and below attending educational institutions nationwide. Nearly 2,300 students at elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, continuing education students from 53 provinces and cities will compete in 186 medals in 5 competitions: football, basketball, athletics, swimming and Vovinam.
With Vovinam, the tournament takes place from June 10-14 at Hue National School. This is the only martial arts to compete in the National High School Sports Tournament in 2025 attracting 593 athletes of 28 provinces and cities nationwide. Students competing in 53 sets of medals including 24 sets of fighting medals, 29 sets of rights medals.
The highlight in this year's tournament comes from the content of Vovinam music for the first time to compete with 2 sets of medals at junior high school with 8 competition units and high schools with 4 competition units. This is the innovation to catch up with the development trend of society when students love martial arts very crowded and become a trend among young people.
In localities, many schools have brought Vovinam martial arts songs into mid -hour exercise for students and bring positive results as well as the love and unanimity of parents. The martial arts that are put into competition will encourage the creativity and dynamic spirit of the current students.
The national high school student tournament in 2025 is to promote the campaign “All people train their body in the example of the great Uncle Ho”; Strengthen exchanges, exchange experiences and health training, physical development contribute to comprehensive education for students.
This activity also aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the tradition of education and discovery and fostering national representatives attending the Southeast Asian student sports festival in 2025 will be held in Brunei.
Through this tournament, the schools have cared for and invested more in the school sports movement, discovering and fostering sports talents, building a comprehensive, healthy and dynamic educational environment to meet the requirements of developing high quality human resources in the new period.
