According to information from the Vietnam Boxing Federation, the National Boxing Championship 2023 has determined the time and venue. This year's tournament will take place from November 20 to November 30 in Dak Lak province.
This tournament is one of the three major tournaments of the National Boxing System including: Boxing Championships of strong national teams, National Boxing Championships nationwide and the National Boxing Championship organized by the Vietnam Boxing Federation.
As expected, the National Championship 2023 will be held in October in Tien Giang. However, the local organization, Tien Giang, is gathering forces for the Mekong Delta Sports Festival 2023, so it is not guaranteed to organize the tournament. Therefore, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tien Giang province reported to the Department of Sports and the Vietnam Boxing Federation to select another locality to host the organization.
In addition, the 2022 Children's Boxing and Boxing 2023 was successfully held in May also in Dak Lak province. This may be the reason why BTC continues to choose the Central Highlands land as the venue for the National Championship 2023.
The Young Boxing Award has just ended in July in Ho Chi Minh City after moving the location from Ba Ria – Vung Tau. The last tournament attracted 531 boxers from 44 units to compete. This is the number of boxers registered to participate in the record, showing that the Vietnamese boxing movement is developing very strongly.
After a season that was not held to make room for the Gymnastics Festival, the 2023 Boxing Championship returned promising to bring matches with high expertise from strong punches across the country.
