Boxing Asiad 19: Nguyen Van Duong won the first battle, preparing to meet the world champion

In the framework of Boxing Asiad 19, 57kg male weight class has up to 30 boxers registered to play. Only two athletes were exempted from the round 1/16, representing Kyrgyzstan and the DPRK. On the Vietnamese side, this weight -class boxer is Nguyen Van Duong. His opponent in the first match was Lama Buddha Gyamjo, Nepal boxer.

The next opponent of Nguyen Van Duong in the 1/8 round is a real challenge: Abdumalik Khalokov, Uzbekistan boxer. Khalokov used to win the World Young Boxing Award, HCV Boxing Olympic Young World. From last year until now, Khalokov won the Asian Championship 2022 in turn, the World Championship 2023.
