Luu Diem Quynh is the only boxer of Boxing Vietnam to win a medal at ASIAD 19 with a bronze medal after losing to the host of Li Qian in the semi -finals. This failure makes Diem Quynh unable to have tickets to the Paris Olympic Games 2024 but also a valuable experience for the girl born in 1996.

After the match, Diem Quynh shared about the bronze medal: “The first medal at ASIAD with me is really very lucky. It is very difficult to meet the semi -finals in the semi -finals when the opponent is very strong and higher than me. Luu Diem Quynh was born in 1996 in Nam Dinh. The female boxer has a passion for martial arts from a young age and charming with Boxing at the end of 9th grade. The provincial coaches chose her after seeing the qualities suitable for Boxing such as endurance, strength, ability to move and reflect quickly.

Initially, Quynh's parents did not agree to let Quynh practice boxing because they wanted her children to focus on studying. However, after the coaches many times met and persuaded to see the determination of their children, the family decided to let Quynh practice in the province. Currently, Diem Quynh is playing for Hanoi unit and has many national championship titles.
