As one of the important playgrounds of the international young boxing in 2023, the Asian Boxing Championship 2023 had to step back 3 months compared to the original calendar. The tournament took place in Astana, Kazakhstan under the executive of the Asian Boxing Federation (ASBC), the Asian high -achievement boxing agency.
At the Asian Boxing Championship, Vietnam registered to attend with 16 members. These are all martial artists with good achievements in national youth tournaments in the past 2 years. The core of the team includes military fighters, Quang Ngai, Lao Cai, Son La, Can Tho, Tien Giang and Nghe An.
After 2 weeks of competition, young Vietnamese boxers played excellently and won a total of 2 gold medals and 4 bronze medals. Below is a list of Vietnamese boxers winning a medal at the Asian Boxing Championship 2023:
– Tran Quang Loc (Army): Gong Gong 54kg male ages 17-18
– Pham Dang Luu (Lao Cai): The medal in the 75kg male age group ages 17-18
– Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung (Army): Bronze medal of 48kg women's 48kg age age aged 17-18
– Luc Thao Thanh (Lao Cai): The bronze medal weighing 50kg women ages 15-16
– Nguyen Hong Hai Bang (Quang Ngai): The bronze medal weighs 66kg of women ages 15-16
– Tran Thanh Tuyen (Can Tho): 75kg weight bronze medal ages 15-16
In addition to medals and certificates, boxers who won medals at the Asian Boxing Championship 2023 also received bonuses from the World Boxing Association (IBA). This is a rare boxing prize at a high level of achievement with bonuses. The boxers will receive a reward with the following amount:
– The athlete won the gold medal to receive 1000 USD
– The athlete won the gold medal to receive 500 USD
– The athlete won the bronze medal to receive 250 USD
After the end of the Asian Boxing Championship 2023, boxers aged 17-18 are likely to continue to attend the National Boxing Championship 2023. The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 20 to November 30 at Buon Thuot Stadium, Dak Lak Province, gathering athletes of 2 ages 17-18 and 19-40.
