As one of the three high -performance sports tournaments of Boxing Vietnam this year, the National Boxing Championship 2023 takes place from November 19 to November 30. In particular, matches will start on November 22, and end on November 29. The venue for the tournament is Dak Lak provincial stadium.
According to the schedule announced by the organizers, the first day of competition will take place immediately after the opening ceremony, starting at 19h on 22/11. There are 8 matches taking place on the first day. One of them is the match between Nguyen Thi Anh Thu (Thai Binh) and Huynh Ha Huu Hieu (Ho Chi Minh City).
At the present time, Huu Hieu is a member of the Muay and Kickboxing team in Ho Chi Minh City. She won the 32 Kun Khmer SEA Games, won the SEA Games 31 gold medal. The girl is like the “snail” of Vietnamese martial arts that can play many other martial arts formats such as Boxing, Traditional Martial Arts, Pencak Silat.
In the context of the Muay and Kickboxing tournaments in 2023 closed, Huu Hieu decided to try on the boxing stage. However, the lucky leaf has brought Huu Hieu to face a very strong boxer in the 45kg weight class. It was Nguyen Thi Anh Thu, a boxer of Thai Binh delegation.
Anh Thu attended the National Boxing Championship 2023 as the defending championship of the National Sports Festival 2022, the Championship of the Boxing Teams of strong nationwide teams 2023. She was highly appreciated in the 45kg weight weight class thanks to her intelligent fighting style, although not as good as many other competitors.
Besides “snail”, many other boxers who played Kickboxing and Muay also tried to compete in this year's tournament. These are Vo Thi Trinh (Da Nang) and Le Thi Nhi (Gia Lai). Similar to Huu Hieu, Le Thi Nhi is also the defending champion of the SEA Games 32. She participated in the Southeast Asian Games in Kickboxing.
