Sharing on his personal page, Charles Oliveira said he was on his way to Australia to watch the UFC 284 event. The former Lightweight Championship is planning to challenge one of the two fighters in the event of the event. It could be Islam Makhachev, who once defeated him, or Alexander Volkanovski.
In the last match in October, “Do Bronx” lost to Islam Makhachev. He almost did not show much, and had to tap out to lose because he was strangled in the second half.
Recalling the fight against Makhachev, Charles Oliveira said everything did not happen as he expected. However, “Do Bronx” will not change the match approach if both have the opportunity to continue confronting each other. Oliveira also admitted he was asked to play in January, but refused to calm down before the return.
Determined to regain Charles Oliveira's UFC championship is worth noting. He shows that he wants to confront Makhachev or Volkanovski to assert himself, but it seems difficult in the current context. Volkanovski is likely to return to the Featherweight class, while Makhachev wants to spread.
At the present time, Welterweight Champions are Leon Edwards. This class also has many strong boxers such as Kamaru Usman, Colby Covington and Khamzat Chimaev. However, Makhachev said he only played the champion. He doesn't care who is holding the belt, because Makhachev is ready to defeat both Usman and Edwards.
