Qualifier 1 Olympic Boxing has nearly 700 boxers attending

Taking place from March 3 to March 11 at the E-Work Arena Stadium of Busto Arsizio, Italy, the first round of the Olympic Games Boxing will select 49 fighters to the Paris Olympics. According to the announcement from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), this qualifying round has 668 boxers from 114 countries registered to attend.

Compared to the previous rounds of the Olympics in Boxing, the first round of the Paris Olympic Games has a superior number of athletes, as well as the national participation. This is a testament to the strong development of Boxing in the high -achievement playground, inconsistent in the international superstructure.

Earlier, the continental sports festivals selected 139 fighters to attend the Paris Olympic Games. On that basis, the 1st and 2nd qualification of the Olympics will find a list of full boxers attending the tournament. The second qualifying round is scheduled to take place in Thailand in late May and early June.

On the side of Boxing Vietnam, the members of the national team set out to attend the Olympic qualifying round on February 29. At the present time, the whole team has stabilized accommodation, and soon entered the training before the qualifying. The team attended with 10 members, including 6 boxers.

In order to focus on the goal of conquering the Olympic ticket, the Vietnam Boxing recruited only 6 female boxers, no male boxers on this trip. Except for 57kg female (2 premiums) and 60kg of women (3 capacity), the remaining weight classes will have 4 sets to the Olympic Games given to the boxers participating.
