On March 7, boxer Vo Thi Kim Anh entered the match in the round of 32 athletes of the Paris Olympic Games of Boxing, weight of 54kg women. She won the point before Estefani Almanzar de Leon (D Dominican) after 3 rounds with a score of 4-1. The score of judges also showed that Kim Anh had convinced.
With the victory over the opponent Estefani Almanzar and reached the round of 16 strongest boxers, Kim Anh received the 200 euro reward from Mr. Dam Cong Dien. Currently, he is a specialist in charge of Boxing (Department of Sports), the leader of the Vietnam Boxing team in the Olympic qualifying round.
Before taking position at the Department of Physical Training and Sports, Mr. Dam Cong Dien was in charge of Boxing – Kickboxing Bac Ninh. In addition to managing and encouraging martial artists in the Olympic qualifying round, he also played a silent role to help Kim Anh be able to play as well as the present.
In early 2024, when talking about the list of summoning the Vietnamese boxing team, there was an opinion that Kim Anh (An Giang athlete) should gather in Ho Chi Minh City. But after exchanging with the Vietnam Boxing Federation, Mr. Dam Cong Dien agreed to let Kim Anh practice in Hanoi.
