Recruiting the Philippines boxing to the US to train before the 2nd qualifying round of the Olympic

According to information from the Philippines's Radio Pilipinas 2 Sports, the boxing team will come to the US to train in the beginning of April. The core of their experienced players such as Nesthy Petecio, Aira Villegas, Rogen Ladon, Hergie Bacyadan, and Chriztian Pitt Laurente.

Of the 5 boxers mentioned above, Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas are two female faces. They all won tickets directly to the Paris Olympic Games after their first qualifying. Therefore, the upcoming training helps both maintain physical condition. They also have the opportunity to practice and top competitors to prepare for further goals.

In the opposite direction, Rogen Ladon, Hergie Bacyadan, and Chriztian Pitt Laurente are expected to win tickets in the second qualifying round. They are selected for foreign training based on the criteria of current competition experience and performance. Earlier, Ladon and Bacyadan fought the first round but could not overcome.

On the side of Chriztian Pitt Laurente, he was just promoted to the national boxing team to prepare for the 2nd Olympic qualifying round. This decision was made after Laurente won Mark Ashley Fajardo in the team's internal match. He will play 63.5kg male weight in the near future.

Meanwhile, the runner -up Olympic Tokyo Carlo Paalam will still qualify for the 2nd Olympic Games. However, he did not come to the United States to practice the whole team due to not completely recovering the shoulder injury. Instead, this puncher maintained at the national team in Baguio, Philippines.

After the US tour, the Filipino Boxing team members will come to Thailand to practice in the first 2 weeks of May. This is the last training trip to the whole team to prepare for the 2nd Olympic qualifying round, scheduled to take place from May 23 to June 3 in Bangkok, Thailand.
